Proverbs 4:18 "The path of the righteous is like the full gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day."
At first, you might just read the verse and not really think about it. But when I took time to think about the verse, I pictured it as a comparison to the life of a believer. When one becomes a believer, their life has been radically changed. They are now living for Christ as opposed to self, and are becoming more holy each day as they grow more like Christ. This process is called sanctification - where we continue to become more Christ-like as we follow Him. If you put that thinking into the verse, what meaning does it portray? Sanctification to Glorification. Once we become a believer, the Holy Spirit indwells in us, guiding us to become more like Christ throughout our entire lives as Christians, until our sanctification process will end in heaven when we are glorified with Christ.
I don't know about you, but I have been convicted by this verse. Am I growing in Christ every day? Am I spending time in His Word daily? Am I putting to death the desires of the flesh and pursuing godliness?
Something not to just think about, but to implement in your life. (James 1:22 "But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearer only who delude themselves.")
